The mission of the Hanover Parks and Recreation Department is to provide diverse and challenging life-long leisure activities to our community, thereby encouraging participation in programs that enhance one's education, promote sportsmanship and physical fitness, and develop good citizenship.

The Hanover Parks and Recreation Department is glad to offer this web site for you to find information that you will need to enroll or participate in our programs.

The Parks and Recreation Department provides athletic and non-athletic activities for youth and adults, as well as special events. Activities are publicized quarterly in our seasonal brochure. These brochures are available at the Howe Library, Town Office, Etna Library, all schools both in Hanover and Norwich, and at the Recreation Center.
The Winter hours of the Richard W. Black Center are:
Monday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday - Friday: 9:00 am - 6 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday: Open for reservations only
