Recycling - Cans, Plastic Bottles and Glass
- Aluminum Beverage Cans: Cans should be rinsed clean and not crushed. Aluminum cat food cans may also be included. NO aluminum foil or pie plates.
- Tin Cans: Cans should be rinsed clean and labels removed. Cans do not need to be flattened. Please be sure that sharp lids are inside the cans for safety.
- Glass - Clear, Green and Brown (bottles, jugs and jars): Rinsed clean. Caps, lids and corks removed and thrown away. NO broken bottles. NO blue or black glass. NO light bulbs or other types of glass (such as window glass, drinking glasses or ceramics).
- PETE #1 Plastic (beverage bottles, soda, juice, etc.): We will accept all clear plastic bottles labeled PETE #1, rinsed clean, no lids.
- HDPE #2 Plastic (plastic milk, cider, water and laundry jugs): Clear and colored plastic marked #2. NO yogurt, cottage cheese or sour cream containers. NO Styrofoam or plastic bags.
NO plastic "take out" food containers (for example ... "clam shells" which are clear plastic containers that fold over). NO "take out" food containers which have either clear or black plastic tops and/or bottoms.
