Enrichment Camps 2010

February Vacation Camp

Join us for five days filled with games, crafts, free play, outside presenters and trips into town at both day long camps!  A movie will be shown each afternoon at lunch.  EARLY registration is recommended.

Grades 1st - 4th & 5th - 8th

Camp Circle H: June 28 - August 6, 2010            Now five days a week!  Camp runs from 9 am to 12 pm.  Registration begins June 1st, at 9 am.  For Hanover residents entering Kindergarten only.  Registration is limited - You must come to the Recreation office to register. 

 

Camp Dragonfly:  June 28 - August 6, 2010 Camp Dragonfly is for children entering grades 1-5. We are now accepting registrations. We have three different camp options: 8:30-12pm, 1:00-4:30, and all day camping. Campers will participate in arts & crafts, games, sports and specially planned activities.

'Tween Camp: June 28 - August 6, 2010 Camp runs Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30pm.  We are now accepting registrations.  Students entering 6th - 8th grade will participate in a variety of activities and field trips.

Camp Quest: Is a week of field trips!  Each day we will meet at the RW Black Community Center and travel by school bus or van for a day of fun and adventure.  Camp Quest runs from August 9th - 13th.  This program is for campers entering grades 1-5.

Art Camps

 

Video Camp: is sponsored by CATV, your local public access TV station.  We will learn the basics about creating tv shows with hands on activities.  This camp is for students entering 5th - 8th grade.  Each session is limited to 20 students and this program is being advertised at four Recreation Departments, so register early!

Three Sessions:

10 am to 3 pm at the Tip Top Building in White River Junction

Session 1:  July 19th - July 23rd

Session 2:  July 26th- July 30th

Session 3:  August 9th - August 13th

Instructors: Bob Franzoni & Ella Farnsworth

Fee: $150 per week

 

Other

Chess Wizards: Campers in grades K - 8 will learn the game of chess with experienced teachers from Chess Wizards at the R.W. Black Community Center.  At the end of the camp all of the students will participate in a mini chess tournament. Once the tournament is finished, all campers will receive a trophy, a Chess Wizards T-shirt, a chess board and a folder with all of the puzzles that they have completed throughout their camp experience.
